Cells

Roxeth Green Free Church is a cell church. That means we believe that the journey of discipleship takes place most effectively in small groups of Christians, growing together in the love and grace of God. Our small groups are called cells, like cells in the human body which are part of a greater body (the wider church) and which grow, develop and eventually multiply when they are healthy. We encourage everyone who is able at the church to join one of the cell groups.

What happens in cells?

Cells aim to be living, open communities of Christians who interact throughout the week but meet together as a group once a week in a member’s home.

During a cell meeting we aim to get to know each other better, to worship God, to gather around the Bible and learn from each other what God is saying to us, and to reach out, as a group, to our friends, families and colleagues with the good news and love of Jesus.

Every cell group is different in style but each have the same values. The five cell values are:

Jesus at the centre

Loving communities

Every member growing

Every member contributing

Every member making God known
