Walking In Wisdom - The Book of Proverbs

Wisdom seems to be in short supply these days. We only need to look around us to see that lack of wisdom is destroying the lives of many young and even older people as they make ill informed decisions which badly impact their lives; the decision to carry knives which sometimes leads to stabbings; the consequences of unprotected sexual relations and so on. Too many of us, Christians included, are wasting our time and lives by failing to exercise wisdom in our everyday lives.

We are all in need of wisdom and the book of Proverbs teaches us that living a life of wisdom is possible as we seek the source of all wisdom, God. And that living such a life is the best possible one we can live because it brings with it so many good things, things such as peace, justice and righteousness. A life of wisdom is about being equipped to make the right decisions in the face of the day to day situations we encounter, of living a godly life.

In line with our vision this year to grow in our relationship with God and with others we shall be starting a 6 week series on how we can walk in wisdom, a key and essential way of living for all disciples of Jesus.
