Are you Head strong?

To be a fit, stable and thriving Christian we need to be the latter – strong in Christ, the Head of the Church.

Caroline Herbert will be leading us through the wonderful letter from the Apostle Paul to the Colossian chruch, outlining the unique postion of Jesus as Lord over creation, Lord over the Church and Lord over our individual lives.

In a time of many voices clamouring for our attention and allegiance, Caroline will show us that one voice and one voice alone speaks the “words of eternal life” – the voice of Jesus of Nazareth.

In an environment much like ours, the Colossians were in danger of believing that starting with Jesus was good, but not good enough – they were at risk of thinking that something or someone extra was neccessary for true spirituality and genuine salvation.

Paul boldly proclaimed Jesus and Jesus alone is sufficient for all our needs, in this life and in the next. Colossians strengthens us because it strengthens our foundations – it says all you need, and all you will ever need, is Jesus, and nothing else.
