Expression youth club
Expression youth club runs on Friday evenings from 6-8pm here at Roxeth for 13-18 year olds.
It is led by a fantastic team of youth workers from the Ignite Trust and is funded by the Home Group. To visit the Ignite website click here
Our youth pastor, Paul, is also part of the team as is a group of volunteers from the church, most notably Jelena who magnificently heads up the kitchen and meal team.
The aim of Expression is to create a place that isn’t home but feels like all the best bits of home (safe, comfortable, welcoming) while feeling like you’re out with your mates (so funny, energetic, and exciting).
The way the evening works is like this:
6pm – 7pm – social time
7pm – 7.30pm – hot food. Yes, you can come and get home made, free (yep, you did read that right) tasty food which we all eat together.
7.30pm-8pm – Life skills time – this is a time each week when we get a chance to talk about a subject that means something to you. It might be money, image, family, friends, sex, death, music, fulfilling your potential, discrimination, gangs, identity, respect. You name it, we can talk about it.
You’re very welcome to drop by and check Expression out of you’re 13-18 years old. Friday – 6pm.
