Christianity Explored course

One life – what’s it all about?

That question is at the heart of the Christianity Explored course that ran here for nine weeks last autumn on Tuesdays from October 4th-November 29th.

The course is completely free to attend and starts each week with a meal at 7.30pm. In all of our evening courses there is a great feeling of informality and we’ve found that complete strangers soon become friends and enjoy the meal time together as much as anything else we do during the evening.

At about 8pm there is a short talk on some of the big questions of life and the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ.

From around 8.30pm there is a chance to discuss, disagree, explore and think through the claims of Christianity looking especially at the gospel of Mark in the Bible. You will not be expected read aloud or do anything that might embarrass or make you uncomfortable on the course. We aim to finish around 9.30 but sometimes the discussions spill over our intended finish time as people really share their opinions about life and it’s meaning!

The course is very informal and we guarantee you’ll receive a warm welcome and your opinions will be treated with respect and courtesy. We aim to respond to interest in the course in 2012 so that people won’t have to wait very long to explore Christianity and the person of Jesus. When we reach a viable number (4-5 people) we’ll get going and start exploring. If your spiritual appetite has increased recently so that you want to know more
and look deeper in what we’re all doing here and who God might be, drop us an email at admin@roxeth.com or call the church office on 020 8864 7037.
